The practice offers a range of routine daily appointments from:
- 08.30– 11:00 and 14:30 – 17:00
To obtain an appointment please call into the surgery or telephone 01435 882306.
Please be aware that due to the increasing pressure on our service, we can no longer guarantee a ‘same day’ response to telephone calls unless they are urgent. Please let our receptionists know why you require the call so that we can prioritise these more effectively. All calls will be returned within 2 working days – as long as the requested doctor is at work on those days.
We offer a variety of appointment options:
Book in advance
These appointments are usually available to book a week or 2 ahead and are general used for medication reviews or reviewing on going non urgent issues.
Routine on the day appointments
These appointments are for those people who needs are not urgent, but who need an appointment sooner rather than later. To reserve one of these slots you need to ring up on the clinic day. Telephone lines open at 8am
When you call the practice, please provide the reception team with an indication of the nature of your visit ,that way the receptionist can ensure that they book you in with the most appropriate GP and for the correct type of appointment.
We also offer urgent appointments for both morning and afternoon sessions.
Please note that, in order to provide the best care, we ask patients to only ask for urgent appointments if they feel their case is genuinely medically urgent and can't wait until the next routine appointment.
Examples of urgent appointments include problems with:
- Unwell Children
NHS/SSP certificates do not necessarily need an appointment. Please telephone to check this. Please also note that no doctor's certificate is required under 7 days of illness.
Speaking to a Clinician on the Telephone
Emergency telephone calls will be put straight through to an available clinician or your telephone number will be taken for an immediate call back.
Telephone conversations of a non-urgent nature can be made between:
- 11:30 – 12:30
- 13:30 – 14:30
- 17:30 – 18:30
A clinician can telephone you if you wish. Please relay your message via the reception staff who will log your call into the messages book.
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
